East Pierce Professional Firefighters
East Pierce Firefighters Union IAFF Local 3520 is the Union that represents the 160+ uniformed personnel of East Pierce Fire & Rescue in Pierce County, Washington.
International Association of Fire Fighters (IAFF) Local 3576 was founded on June 17, 1993 by the Firefighters employed by Bonney Lake Fire Department. On June 1, 1999 the Firefighters of Bonney Lake Fire Department, merged with Lake Tapps Fire Department, IAFF Local 3520 and formed East Pierce Fire & Rescue and consolidated into East Pierce Professional Firefighters Union, IAFF Local 3520. On January 1, 2007 the Firefighters of IAFF Local 2877, Sumner Fire Department consolidated into East Pierce Fire & Rescue. And on April 1, 2010 the Firefighters of the Edgewood Fire Department (Pierce County Fire District 8), represented by the Puyallup Firefighters IAFF Local 726 merged into East Pierce Fire & Rescue creating what is now the present-day organization.
East Pierce Fire & Rescue covers the following cities, towns and areas of East Pierce County, Washington: Milton, Edgewood, Sumner, Bonney Lake, Lake Tapps, Prairie Ridge, South Prairie, and the unincorporated areas of Buckley and East Pierce County. From Interstate 5 to the edge of Mount Rainier National Park, East Pierce Fire & Rescue serves approximately 100,000 people by providing 24/7/365 coverage from 7 firehouses.

East Pierce Professional Firefighters IAFF Local 3520 is affiliated with the Washington State Council of Fire Fighters, International Association of Fire Fighters, AFL-CIO, Pierce County Central Labor Council, and the Washington State Labor Council.
